Gallaher's House of Hearing Aids first opened in 1990, but its roots go back even further. The first generation of Gallahers started in the hearing industry in the 1960s; today, the next generation proudly carries on the family practice. Our name is on everything we do, and it's important to us that we uphold the reputation for friendly service and expert knowledge that our parents earned in St. Louis.
Many of our family members are hearing impaired, so hearing aids are a way of life for us. We know firsthand what a difference getting your hearing back can make for you and for your family. Every make and model of hearing aid we prescribe to patients has first been tried by someone in our family; nothing ever goes on a client until multiple family members have worn that kind of hearing aid and tested it in restaurants, in the classroom, at church, and at the family functions where all 26 of us come together. We've studied hearing loss and earned our professional certifications, but our expertise doesn't just come from a book — this is part of our real life that we live with every day.
We truly are a family practice, and when you come to Gallaher House of Hearing Aids, you can be sure we'll treat you just as well as we would treat any member of our own family.
Licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist
Hearing aids have always been a part of Scott's life. As the youngest of four children, he used to help out in his parents' office after school. He officially joined the family business to help install a new computer system, but soon he was working alongside his father and mother fitting patients with hearing aids.
He believes that fitting hearing aids properly is as much an art as it is a science, and his hands-on experience means he knows how to do it well. He, his wife, and his kids all wear hearing aids, and he understands what a difference they can make in your life. In addition to being licensed in the state of Missouri, he previously served for six years as a member of the Board of Directors of the Missouri Hearing Society.
The one-on-one personal relationship with your hearing healthcare provider is essential. Understanding your personal needs and lifestyle is another key to a successful hearing aid fitting. You are unique! There is no mathematical equation that will define your real life hearing needs. At Gallaher's, we strive to truly get to know your individual hearing situation and work together to make hearing aids work for you.
"Easily the most comfortable hearing aids I've ever worn. Even comfortable with heavy-framed glasses!
Marked improvement over my previous units, especially directionally. Actually heard and understood a conversation occurring behind me in a crowded gym. My television volume is now set at least four levels lower (much to my wife's satisfaction) and telephone conversations are a piece of cake.
More importantly to me as a musician, I find no evidence of what I call 'music bounce' even when playing a wind instrument. I am able to keep the aids on instead of having to turn them off while playing.
I have been dealing with the folks at Gallaher for years, as did my daughter before me, and as always, I am completely satisfied. I recommend them to friends without any qualms."

"Absolutely tops!! I've had two hearing aids before this one from other sources. They both are in a drawer. The sound was flat and did not discriminate in situations where there was a lot of background noise. All I could hear was the background, not the voices.
Scott Gallaher is a specalist who does a workup on your particular frequency of hearing loss and matches the device to you loss, amplifying what you have trouble hearing and allowing the frequencies you can hear to come through. The result is natural and 'live' sound. I cannot say enough good things about Scott Gallaher and his sister at Gallaher's House of Hearing. I'm back in the game."
